What is sugaring?
Hair removal with a paste made of sugar, lemon, and water. That’s the whole ingredient list.
Body-temperature paste
Warm,neverhot
The paste goes on warm, not hot, and it’s worked off by hand in the direction your hair actually grows, which pulls the hair out at the root instead of snapping it off.
People usually find it easier on their skin than waxing, and there’s nothing to scrape off afterward. Leftover paste just rinses away with water.
- Nothing hot
- The paste is used at body temperature, so it can’t burn you.
- Skin-friendly
- It grabs hair and dead skin cells, not skin, so it doubles as a light exfoliation.
- Less breakage
- Removing hair in the direction of growth means fewer broken hairs and, for most people, fewer ingrowns.
- It lasts
- Most clients come back every 4 to 6 weeks, and hair tends to grow in finer over time.
